In its continued push to expand its presence throughout South East Asia, Global Green International Investments (GGII) signed a formal partnership agreement with SMCS GROUP.
The partnership, Green Energy Investments Mekong (GEI Mekong) will focus on building renewable energy projects in the Mekong countries, with a primary focus on building waste-to-energy plants in Cambodia, where improving waste issues and electricity shortages are a development goal for the Cambodian Government.
SMCS GROUP, which will hold a 40% share in the partnership, is a leading business solutions company and has been based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia since 2006.
"Im very happy to be offered this partnership with GGII. This is a fantastic chance to help Cambodia solve some of its waste issues and produce green electricty." said Steve Morrish, CEO of SMCS GROUP.
GEI Mekong will conduct feasibility study’s initially to identify provincial areas that have waste and energy issues.
